Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to work with an interior designer?

The answer will depend on the scope of the project.

If we’re doing full-service design for a room, multiple rooms, or renovating an entire space, I will provide you with a budget range estimate after our Consultation during the pre-design phase. From there, we sign an agreement, collect a retainer, and move into creating design concepts and refining the vision. During this phase, the budget will be continuously updated to remain accurate based on the project scope and revisions.

If Bianconi Design is working with you in a consulting capacity or on a virtual design project, the fees are based on my hourly rate of $150/hour or a flat project rate.

What is the process like working with an interior designer?

Most designers break down the design process into 3-6 phases. You may hear them referred to by several names, depending on the designer: Discovery/Pre-Design, Design/Planning, Procurement/Project Management, Installation/Completion, etc.

At Bianconi Design, we break it down into three phases: 1) Pre-Design, 2) Design, and 3) Project Management & Installation. Each of these phases breaks down further into sub-tasks. If you’re curious, send us an email and we’d be happy to share a detailed list of steps to help you think through the process.
